The EOS system newly installed in the radiology department of the Hôpital de La Tour's B2 building is a medical imaging system dedicated to the treatment of osteoarticular pathologies.

The system simultaneously performs anteroposterior and lateral radiographs of the entire spine, lower limbs or entire body in a functional position, therefore most often standing.

Angle calculations and 3D visualizations contribute to a better understanding of orientations and rotations. These results enable radiologists and surgeons to conduct an assessment of the patient's posture, anticipate axial and sagittal balance, perform pre-operative measurements and examine post-operative developments.

A micro-dose option can furthermore reduce radiation exposure, which is particularly beneficial for patients, especially children presenting with pathologies requiring frequent monitoring.
