Hôpital de La Tour is the first facility in the canton of Geneva to acquire a digital PET/CT scanner. It is used in the nuclear medicine department. This device plays a crucial role at every stage of cancer: from diagnosis to detect cancers at an early stage, during treatment to assess the effectiveness of cancer therapy, and after treatment to detect any recurrence.
Dr. Guignard, supported by a full team of technicians and assistants, leads this department, which is located in the new B2 building.
