Electroneuromyography (ENMG)

Electroneuromyography is used for the functional exploration of the peripheral nervous system. It is performed by a specialized neurologist when a disease or injury to the nerves or muscles is suspected. The examination consists of two complementary parts: neurography and myography. Neurography refers to the study of nerve conduction by applying mild electrical shocks to the skin. Myography is a way of evaluating the electrical activity of the muscles. It is done by inserting a fine needle into the muscle.
