Physical therapy aims to improve physical health and restore movement and function using exercises, mobilizations, manipulations and other treatment techniques without the use of medication.

Our physical therapy department provides comprehensive care for both inpatients and outpatients. Hôpital de La Tour is a recognized Swiss Olympic Medical Center: a guarantee of our high level of expertise and renowned experience in providing consultations and treatment in the field of sports medicine for elite athletes. This specialist care includes consultations and treatment in the fields of medicine and physical therapy as well as performance diagnostic services.


An essential part of the care we provide for athletes involves working closely with sports physicians to develop a treatment plan where physical therapy plays a key role.

Appointments by referral

You must be referred by a doctor for physical therapy. This can be, for example, your orthopedic surgeonprimary care physiciansports physician or even your rheumatologist. Your doctor will prescribe a specific number of sessions. Your progress will then be reviewed and he or she will prescribe more sessions, if necessary.
