Physical activity improves the chances of recovery and helps effectively combat certain side effects of cancer and its treatments. It is a valuable aid in keeping the body and mind in good shape to fight stress and, above all, fatigue.
What We Offer
The program, which consists of group sessions, is tailored
to your abilities and lifestyle. In its standard form, it includes two physical activity sessions each week: one indoors and one outdoors.
We can also help you develop an
individual, personalized program if you are unable to visit us regularly.
What for?
The goal of physical activity is to improve your quality of life and, above all, your well-being, by:
- combating common side effects of treatment, such as fatigue, pain, depression, and sleep disorders;
- improving your physical fitness and preventing muscle loss;
- improving your tolerance for treatment;
- improving your chances of recovery and preventing recurrence.
Regular physical activity starting at the time of diagnosis increases the chances of recovery by 40%.
Who is this for?
The cancer rehabilitation program is intended for anyone
with cancer, starting at the time of diagnosis, regardless of the stage of the disease. Whether you are waiting to start treatment, are currently undergoing treatment, or have completed treatment; whether you have undergone surgery or are in remission, you
can benefit from this program.
By whom?
The physical activity program is led by a specially trained team of physical therapists and physical activity instructors. It operates under the medical supervision of an oncologist. Physical activity is an integral part of a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, complementing medical oncology treatments, surgery, radiation therapy, and nutrition.
