Who is this for?
This rehabilitation program aims to bring about lasting lifestyle changes to improve participants’ physical and mental health and their quality of life. It combines adapted physical activity, therapeutic education, and nutritional and psychological support, with the goals of weight loss, weight stabilization, and reducing comorbidities (such as diabetes and joint pain).
What for?
Initiating a Lasting Lifestyle Change
The Goals of Rehabilitation:
- A lasting change in habits. Adopting regular physical activity and a balanced diet over the long term, beyond initial weight loss.
- Functional improvement. Increasing physical capacity, reducing limitations (pain, fatigue), and promoting a return to physical activity, all while having fun.
- Personalized support provides you with multidisciplinary care (doctors, nutritionists, coaches) for lasting lifestyle change.
- Preparation for or follow-up after bariatric surgery. Where applicable, optimize physical fitness before the procedure and maintain results afterward.
- Monitoring medication treatment. Minimizing lean mass loss and maintaining regular physical activity to reduce side effects.
Achieving your goals helps improve self-image, prevent isolation, and manage chronic illness.
Fees and Reimbursement
The program is supported by the SMOB (Swiss Multidisciplinary Obesity Society). It is fully covered by basic health insurance (LaMal), minus the deductible and any copayments.
