Observation Internships
Observational internships allow young people to confirm their interest in a healthcare career and prepare to enter a vocational school (ES), a university of applied sciences (HES), or an apprenticeship program. They provide an opportunity to discover the day-to-day workings of a hospital environment and observe the various activities of the professionals working there.
We do not offer observation internships due to a lack of space.
Pre-Internships
Pre-internship program (Red Cross, Paramedics, University of Applied Sciences, etc.). Pre-internships are open to young people who are at least 18 years old and plan to pursue studies or an apprenticeship in the healthcare field. These internships allow them to gain an introduction to the hospital environment by becoming familiar with basic patient care.
Under supervision, interns perform the same tasks as nursing assistants and participate in the activities of the department where they are assigned. Pre-internship positions are reserved for exceptional circumstances.
Introductory Course [FULL]
“The Patient Care Internship” (pre-clinical internship), intended exclusively for first- and second-year medical students or prospective medical students, is mandatory for students at the medical schools in Lausanne, Fribourg, Neuchâtel, Bern, Basel, and ETH Zurich (see medical education).
