To mark World Breastfeeding Week, which runs from September 12 to 18, the lactation consultants at Hôpital de La Tour, along with our neonatology specialist, will answer all your questions on the topic.

Our maternity ward has been committed to promoting breastfeeding for many years. Indeed, we now know that it is good for both the child and the mother, as well as beneficial for the environment, as confirmed by the theme of this year’s World Breastfeeding Week: “Support Breastfeeding for a Healthier Planet!”

Breastfeeding is an emotionally rich experience for new mothers and couples. Thinking about it and preparing by educating yourself can be reassuring when the time comes and help make it a positive experience free from certain anxieties. Benefits for the baby and the mother, pain, the mother’s diet while breastfeeding, the impact on her weight or figure, the father’s role, breastfeeding and work—whatever your questions may be, ask them openly today!

One place for all your questions: allaitement@latour.ch

You can then find our specialists’ answers on our website and on our Facebook page on Tuesday, September 15, and Friday, September 18. Your questions will remain anonymous—don’t hesitate to ask!
