With the goal of providing ever-better care to their patients, both institutions have been committed for several years to measuring patient-reported outcomes (PROMs). This approach drives continuous improvement based on what patients report about the impact of their treatment. This partnership will expand the use of this information as well as the resulting opportunities for improvement, thanks to the experience of teams on both sides. The physical therapy and sports science teams, which provide evidence-based care, will also collaborate on clinical best practices and research.
The two institutions will also work to establish new training programs to enable, among other things, young doctors and other healthcare professionals to complete part of their training at the partner institution. This initiative, which aims to enrich training programs, will also help attract top talent on an international scale.
Andrea Rytz, Director of the Schulthess Klinik, commented: “This partnership with the leading private hospital in French-speaking Switzerland is a fantastic opportunity for us to develop synergies that benefit our patients. It also supports our mission of quality and research, with the goal of always offering our patients the best treatment based on the latest medical advances.”
Rodolphe Eurin, Director of Hôpital de La Tour, is delighted with this new partnership: “Schulthess Klinik is an international leader in orthopedics. This partnership allows us to bring together highly complementary areas of expertise and aligns with our ambition to strengthen our center of excellence dedicated to movement.”
