Our tobacco addiction consultation service offers you guidance and support in your goal to live a smoke-free life.
You will receive personalized care tailored to your individual needs.
The first consultation lasts one hour and is prepared using a questionnaire. It allows us to clarify your expectations and your history with tobacco. Together, we will establish a customized follow-up program.
Follow-up consultations, the frequency of which is tailored to your needs, last 30 minutes. They are spaced out to support you throughout your treatment.
Depending on your profile and in order to offer comprehensive and optimized care, other professionals from the La Tour hospital campus may be called upon to support you in your project:
- dietitian
- psychologist
- hypnotherapist
- physical therapist / specialists in adapted physical activities
- Specialist physician
Why choose this plan?
There are various reasons for consulting:
- Smoking cessation, whether for a specific short-term goal (surgery, parenthood, etc.) or a longer-term goal.
- Reducing consumption with the aim of reducing risks.
- Help in maintaining abstinence.
- Assessment of your smoking-related risk and possible additional tests for preventive purposes.
Who is it for?
The tobacco addiction consultation service at the general medicine center at Hôpital de La Tour is open to everyone. External patients, as well as those already receiving treatment at the Hôpital de La Tour campus, are welcome.
For patients at the cardio-respiratory rehabilitation center, there is specialized care reserved for patients at the center. The tobacco addiction nurse consults directly with the patient's pulmonologists and cardiologists.
Our specialists
Dr. Sylvaine Hoch is a tobacco addiction specialist and member of AT Suisse and the Société Francophone de Tabacologie (French-speaking Society of Tobacco Addiction Specialists). She practices at the general medicine center at La Tour Hospital.
Ms. Nathalie Goddet de Murcia is a tobacco addiction nurse. She practices at the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation center at La Tour Hospital.
Prices and reimbursement
Consultations are reimbursed by basic health insurance (LAMal) after deduction of the deductible and co-payment.
