The General Medicine Center at Hôpital de La Tour offers our patients easy access to our general internists and our multidisciplinary team. As the hospital’s point of entry, it helps coordinate care with the other specialties on the La Tour campus. Why open a new General Medicine Center at Hôpital de La Tour?
Through an innovative and interprofessional approach to general internal medicine, we aim to:
• strengthen general medicine services on the Right Bank to address the shortage of family physicians in the canton and the current challenge of an aging population,
• develop comprehensive care for frail patients and reduce avoidable hospitalizations,
• improve care coordination by ensuring our patients have access to all specialties available at Hôpital de La Tour,
• promote prevention and health promotion for healthy adults to prevent functional decline and early multimorbidity.
