This week, in record time, Hôpital de La Tour obtained Swiss certification in the field of postgraduate medical training leading to the title of specialist in orthopedics and musculoskeletal traumatology. A rigorous educational training program, combining a wide variety of clinical experiences, offers unique training opportunities for virtually all of the different subspecialties of orthopedics.
With this Swiss certification, we further enhance the distinctiveness of our postgraduate training offerings, which now include 11 recognized programs.
Under the direction of PD Dr. med. Alexandre Lädermann, a team of 12 chief physicians—active in the vast majority of orthopedic fields—offers a comprehensive postgraduate training program for future specialists in orthopedics and musculoskeletal trauma.
This training program offers unique, specialized opportunities covering virtually the entire discipline, including: shoulder and elbow, hand, spine, hip, knee, feet, orthopedic tumor surgery, pediatric orthopedics, traumatology, and conservative orthopedic treatments. In addition, our team of experts offers fellowships that provide clinical and scientific opportunities at the international level.
For 40 years, Hôpital de La Tour has maintained an unwavering commitment to training, thereby contributing to the next generation of medical excellence. The quality of our care continues to rise, as does our ever-strengthening presence among our patients. This new recognition is therefore a natural continuation of our tradition. As the largest private training center in French-speaking Switzerland, we are proud to offer 11 training programs each year, attended by 52 residents and fellows.
