What is it?

It is a center specializing in sports and medicine that meets strict criteria for competence, expertise, and sports facilities.

Who can come in for a consultation?

Absolutely anyone!

More specifically, anyone who has a connection to—or wishes to develop one with—sports and physical activity. People typically come in to assess their physical condition, receive guidance on resuming physical activity, or recover from an injury. They therefore benefit from the same level of expertise as a elite athlete, but tailored to their needs.

What does it mean to be “Swiss Olympic Medical Center accredited”?

It means that a small number of hospitals or large clinics are staffed by a multidisciplinary team specializing in sports and medicine, equipped with comprehensive medical facilities and modern equipment. These are the requirements for obtaining the accreditation!

Each center must also demonstrate a strong, quantifiable partnership with national sports federations and/or elite clubs in major sports, as proof of their commitment to Swiss sports and their practical expertise. In Switzerland, there are only 17 facilities recognized by Swiss Olympic, and Hôpital de La Tour is proud to be among them.
